Shane Milne is the owner of Aquanaut Tours in Swakopmund, Namibia. He is a professional fishing guide and also specializes in beachcombing along the Skeleton Coast.

Shane is passionate about the beach and its surroundings. He learned the foundations of what he knows hands-on by spending time investigating rock pools and their creatures, constantly and keenly observing bird and marine life on the shore as well as learning to dive and fish from a young age.

As a competitive angler, he qualified to represent the Namibian junior team for Rock & Surf angling at an international competition in South Africa. Some years later he represented Namibia in Light-tackle Boat fishing, in Kariba, Zimbabwe, and at Hardap Dam in Namibia. Since then, he has been a guide for the Namibian and South African top teams on several occasions for Rock & Surf as well as Boat angling. In 2016 Shane successfully guided the Namibian Rock & Surf Masters to win Gold in their division. Now he shares his passion for angling with others by doing guided angling tours.

As Namibia boasts one of the few untouched natural beaches in the world, locals still have the privilege of being able to harvest various items from its shore, such as various mussels, seaweeds, crayfish, and so on. It takes a certain know-how to be able to do this and Shane knows how lucky he is with the abundance of natural resources around him and thus wants to share it with the community of  www.bushguide101.com.
